The film is set to clash with the Akshay Kumar starrer, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which is sure to make for an interesting box office battle.
Maidaan is a sports drama based on the life of former Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who managed the national team from 1950 to 1963.
