Day 79 – Rider
Get ready for some flippin’ action! Perform insane stunts while you cruise through the never-ending world of Rider! Grab your motorcycle and start flipping like a maniac!
Imagine combining the fun and risk of extreme motor sports with the sci-fi excitement of the Tron film franchise to create an awesome game full of crazy stunts. Well, let me introduce you to Rider.
As these 90 days are drawing to a close, I notice there are few games that I continue to play frequently; Rider however, is definitely one that I do play as much as possible. Something about those flips and tricks makes me drawn to it, and as I channel my inner Tony Hawk I can see the brightly-coloured neon tracks are turning me into an addict.
Speaking of neon, this game truly is full of bright colours, because of this the graphics look really cool and are about as good as a game with a simple design like this can actually get. The sound is one area in which the game is lacking however, with annoyingly repetitive sound effects and no music to accompany play. Trying to beat your high score is really fun and as each play-through is different, I often find myself holding out for a good opportunity to try and get further than normal. The levels are really tough but without the game would really have little material to work with, other than the various cars which can be unlocked.
Overall, this game is 100% fun, fun, fun and I would highly recommend it to anybody looking to fill that motorbike-sized hole in their heart.
