Day 24 – Ultimate Fusion

I used to watch Digimon. I owned a Digivice and I played a lot of Digimon on the PC. You could say I’m a Digimon fan. Ultimate Fusion is clearly based on the Digimon series, however, there seems to be no link to Bandia or the original creators. That said, it’s a fun game, so give it a go!

Ultimate Fusion

As a ‘Unreleased’ title you have to be prepared for some instability and potential system crashes. Regardless, I still had to try it! When it comes to turn based strategy games, I am not the biggest fan as you’ve probably already realised. I chose to start with what was definitely a recreation of Agumon, and have already began collecting other Digimon creatures to fight alongside me. I’ve been at it a while and still find the rewards system a little strange, but I’ve discovered some mini games to participate in, which have accelerated my level growth and that of my other Digimon creatures.

I’ve said it once before, and I will keep saying it, I dislike automated fights in games. Yes, the battles become easier when all you need to do is push a button or two, but where is the skill? I progressed through the battles with little to no trouble at all. I enjoy being challenged, having control over my attacks & setting the strategy for ensuring victory. Automation like this can ruin my experience with a game.
