Day 22 – JanKen Battle Arena

So far throughout the ANDi 90 Day Challenge I have already played two 1vs1 style fighting games, JanKen Battle Arena is the third. What’s really interesting is just how different all three are from one another.

JanKen Battle Arena

Published by FredBear Games, this is a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. If you win you’ll be given the chance to attach your opponent. If you lose, you’ll be required to defend their attach. If you draw with your opponent, you’ll be presented with some mini challenges to complete before earning a chance to attack. Although the game mechanics differ from the likes of Mortal Kombat X, and although at times it was distracting, I didn’t mind this style of gameplay. It wasn’t the usual rush and thrill of jumping straight into the action, but it’s easy to see the mass market appeal JanKen Battle Arena has. Easy gameplay mechanics and very cool looking Kung Fu Panda’s, what’s not to like?
